Call for Papers – Special Issue on Reliability Engineering

Quality Engineering (the Journal) is organizing a special July issue in 2017 to be dedicated to the research advancement in the field of Reliability Engineering.  Reliability can be defined as quality over time. Research in reliability engineering develops the engineering tools and methodologies for improving product or process reliability. This is the second time that the Journal is publishing a special issue on Reliability Engineering. The first special issued was published in July 2015. In that issue, twelve high quality papers were published, covering topics from reliability modeling, lifetime data analysis, to reliability testing. Following the success of the first special issue, the Journal is calling for papers for another special issue in 2017. Your paper may address, but not limited to, the following topics pertinent to Reliability and Maintainability:

  • Accelerated Life Testing and Accelerated Degradation Testing
  • Big Data and IoT Applications for Reliability Improvement
  • Reliability-based Design Optimization
  • Diagnostics and Prognostics
  • Lifetime Analysis
  • Maintenance Models and Methodologies
  • Reliability Modeling
  • Reliability Growth Analysis
  • Repairable Systems
  • Risk Analysis and Management
  • Software Reliability and Testing
  • System Reliability Modeling and Analysis
  • Warranty Data Analysis and Management

Please note that the Journal encourages submissions with practical solutions to real engineering problems. Case study papers are very welcome. To be considered for the special issue, you need to submit your manuscript through the Journal’s online submission system by February 1, 2017. All submissions will be peer reviewed, but on an expedited process.

In addition, the reliability paper written by at least one author who is a member of the ASQ Reliability Division  (ASQ RD) or who has a valid subscription to www.ASQRD.org will be considered for the Best Reliability Paper Award. This annual award is administrated by the ASQ RD, and $1000 will be awarded to the authors of the best paper.
