Current and Past Volunteers
ASQ (American Society for Quality), originally founded in at the end of World War II is a global community of people dedicated to quality who share the ideas and tools that make our world work better. With individual and organizational members around the world, ASQ has the reputation and reach to bring together the diverse quality champions who are transforming the world’s corporations, organizations and communities to meet tomorrow’s critical challenges.
The ASQ Reliability Division (ASQ RD) is a community of practice focused on reliability and maintainability education and providing a forum for networking among members on reliability engineering, management and related topics. We facilitate reliability and maintainability engineering growth, promote reliability engineering principles and serve as a focal resource on reliability engineering for ASQ, Standards agencies, industry, commerce, government and academia.
The field of reliability and maintainability engineering encompasses a broad body of knowledge to include risk analysis, failure mode identification and quantification, test planning to name a few! Our division is completely managed and operated by volunteer professionals such as yourself. Join us and get involved while building valuable resume skills and expanding your professional skill set. Interested in a detailed history of reliability? Check out the article by our past chair Jim McLinn …
Our officers are elected by our membership and serve two year terms. In order for the division to function our officers are supported by a large volunteer operations team.
Interested in volunteering but not sure what activities are in your local area? Our volunteers are all across the United States and the globe. You can volunteer from any geographic location! Just send us an email at webmaster@asqrd.org and we can get the process started. Alternatively, check out if a regional counselor is active in your area!
