In this talk, I will demo how to use the ALTopt R package that was introduced in a previous ASQ/RD Chinese webinar. ALTopt is developed for creating and evaluating optimal experimental designs of accelerated life tests (ALTs) with right censoring or interval censoring plan. This package utilizes the generalized linear model approach to ALT planning because it enables an easy handling of censoring plan and the derivation of information matrix for evaluating designs. At the beginning of this talk, I will briefly introduce R and RStudio, and how to install ALTopt in R. Then, some ALTopt functions and their arguments will be discussed in details. As the demonstration will be performed in the RStudio environment, participants may need to have R and RStudio installed before the webinar.
